Brett Tignor started photography in 2002 by accident while in high school.  He attended Virginia Commonwealth University and majored in broadcast journalism.  While in college, he worked with Humphrey’s Studio that strictly focused on youth team and individual recreation sports (both action and team and individuals).  Also, while in college and currently, he freelances with Henrico and Hanover County Public Schools in their Media Departments.

Since graduating from VCU, Brett began to expand DMOFVA.  This includes freelancing with Images by David, Phocus Photography, Candid Color Photography, and Strawbridge Studios, Inc.  Images by David is a personal business based in Mechanicsville, Virginia; Phocus Photography is a personal photography business out of Staunton, VA; Candid Color and Strawbridge are both school photograph companies that do business in the Virginia area.

Each photographer has a style.  For Brett, his style is more journalistic.  Capturing all the event, getting peoples expressions, and  the special details.
